This Shalom plaque with raised 3D lettering and menorah is made from all solid hardwoods, including walnut (the base), mahogany (the text), yellow heart (the flames) and white oak (the menorah). The colors of the wood are their natural colors, no stain or paint is used. The Hebrew letters also say “Shalom.” The letters, menorah and flames are 1/8 of an inch thick and glued onto the 3/8 inch thick walnut base. The plaque is finished with several coats of lacquer.
The plaque includes a hanger for hanging on a wall and a removable peg if you would rather put it on a table. The hangers are 1/4 inches thick so that when hanging on a wall it will appear to be floating, further enhancing the 3D look of the plaque.
